Why are corporations still ruling the country?

Marcelina Schossow: It is called "rewards". just like the rewards that are obtained from stores and businesses. The corporations are the big donors despite the limit on the amount of money one can give to any campaign. What we the people can do is: boycott the stores and corporations that give enormous amounts of monies to their politcal party of preference for a particular candidate. There is no transparency, the dollar amount stated in the news does not match the dollar amount that is clandestinely given to support a candidate, make a statement, demand preferential treatment. it all goes back to MONEY talks. More surveillance of the political coffers needs to happen....Show more

Roni Kurz: Well the Democratic party is still less incorporated then the Republican party. But really old people suck.

Jerrod Guilfoil: $$$$$$$$$$$$$ when are you people going to wake up. THERE IS NO REAL DIFFERENCE BETWEEN WHAT THE DEM AND REP POLITICIANS DO. They all lie steal a! nd cheat, and it is due to campaign donations which = bribery. Man you dems and reps are slow. Wake up, for God's sake and America's.

Lourie Mcroberts: Money is Power.Always has been, always will be (in this world).People with MONEY have the POWER to CONTROL our media (news and entertainment), educational system, and political structure.EXAMPLE: When you meet someone who ALWAYS defends the Corporations and the Government, you are seeing the "SYSTEM" operating at its PEAK....Show more

Libby Berkovitch: I believe the point of no return has been crossed...the corporations and the rich have become too wealthy and too powerful and they control american politics way too much with their money to ever allow our country to revert back to a more pro citizen style of govt as we had say about 35 to 40 years ago and earlier.and yes the system is corrupt and the money of the big corporations and the rich control both major political parties....Show more

Lucien Helle! rman: The universal rule is, whoever has the money has the pow! er.Democrats and republicans both want money and both want power. That's human nature, nobody is above it regardless of what they claim. The only real difference is that republicans are a bit more honest about it, and so are a little bit less likely to resort to nefarious means to gain power.A LITTLE bit.But seriously, look at the numbers for real. Corporations don't control this country, and haven't since about the 1950s. There's so much regulation and so many restrictions on what they can or can't do, that controlling a nation isn't possible. They act in their own best interest, like everyone else, and they work to safeguard their profits, like everyone else. Yes, they do work to shoot down legislation that would make things difficult for them, but so does every other organization out there, be it a charity, corporation, church, country club, whatever. As long as there are people, there will be groups that become powerful and want more. Corporations are no more inherently ! corrupt than any other group, including political parties, both left and right....Show more
