Tyrone Disanti: Hey, actually it is the other way around! So much food and water is used up on raising animals just to be slaughtered for meat. Meat production requires crops to be fed to the animals in order to make them large enough to produce a decent amount of meat. This is energy which could otherwise go to people without enough food.If the whole world was vegetarian there would be a better distribution of food and water worldwide since vital supplies would not be used up on farming animals for slaughter. Therefore rather than feeling guilty you should feel reassured that you are doing the right thing. Is much much better for global food distribution if people eat less meat.x...Show more
Luke Creitz: Chew gum.I remember reading an article in Men's Health magazine that chewing gum boosted memory 10% because it increased the blood flow to the brain. It also increased metabolism 5% because of the constant chewing.Too bad most teachers don't allow it (sneak it if yo! u can)....Show more
Hugo Pittari: vegetarianism is a term that has a broad definition. I have met self-proclaimed "vegetarians" that didn't abstain from eating fish. basically, I think you shouldn't label yourself, just believe what you believe and do what you do and be happy.
Andrew Sinatra: yup u are!! my sister is a vegetarian, she eats everything u have mentioned.. and besides, u are the boss! u r just not a strit vegetarian.. but u r still one!!
Samatha Nicar: Studying or "schooling" as you call it is a bain stimulant in itsef if done properly.

Eli Trapeni: If by "seafood" you mean "sea animals", then no, you're not a vegetarian. Vegetarians don't eat animals.Sea vegetables, though, are fine. Totally underrated in Western society.
Cliff Tyre: if you eat seafood, you're not vegetarian. it's actually called something like pescetarian (which is what i am) yeah... i didn't find that out until a few months ago. =]just fyi: vegetarians dont eat any animals. vegans don't eat animals or animal products. pescetarians don't eat land animals (chicken, pork, beef, etc.)
Virgilio Echter: No. If you eat seafood you can call yourself a pesco-vegetarian if you want, but please don't call yourself a vegetarian. Seafood are animals.I hate it when people say they're vegetarian and eat fish, chicken, etc. Saying "chicken isn't meat, it's p! oultry" is meaningless--it's all animal life.
Maye Delk: If you eat seafood, no.Vegetarians do not eat animals, and shrimp, fish, etc. are animals - thus, to eat them is not vegetarian. But you can eat as you wish without the need for labels... if someone asks, you can tell them you only eat seafood (as far as meat goes).Edit: In case you'd like a source, the Vegetarian Society is where the definition itself originated, and the definition of vegetarian does -not- include fish.http://www.vegsoc.org/fish/facts1.html...Show more
Shaun Rapkowicz: Well, there are various categories of "vegetarian"..... those who consider themselves total vegetarians who refuse even the things you mention, and those who are kind of "sideliners" who feel comfortable just not eating the normal range of meats... pork, cow, chicken, maybe even wildlife animals. It's up to you to decide what kind of vegetarian you want to be! , and for what reason. Myself? I'm the eternal meat eater, a! nd I don't feel guilty. My system has evolved to be this way, so I go along with it. I would add, however, that I am greatly disturbed by the treatment of food animals from the moment of their birth till they are slaughtered. That grieves me, and I seriously hope that eventually the voices of those who fight to change this will be heard....Show more
Emerita Sciandra: Nope. You are a pescetarian. Like me! You can eat all of that, but no other meat.
Coleen Carignan: I'm a vegetarian and I don't eat seafood, eggs, or drink milk. But I do eat cheese. So I'm not technically sure. Vegetarians eat dairy products but I'm not to sure about the seafood factor. I'm sorry if I didn't help.
Shon Almquist: Sea animals are animals, vegetarians don't eat ANY animals. So no you would not be a vegetarian until you cut out the sea animals.
Kassie Kay: I am going to make breakfast soon and ! you could have beans with toast and a slice of two of fruit loaf with marmalade on one, and honey on the other.Come join me.Dune
Arlen Lopiccalo: When I said I couldn't find any ethical reasons, I meant for myself right now, not that being a vegetarian does not have ethical reasons for people.
Anibal Katayama: yes seafood isnt meat and neither is chicken (surprisingly) its counted as poultry and you would have to be a vegan not to eat dairy.
Hilton Paiva: Tasty rocks. Or lawnmower sauce. Either one works.
Clifford Riggleman: Gingko Biloba a herb will stimulate your mind. Vervain will help alertness. Beans are packed full of protein so they will help but you know what happens if you eat too much of that! For energy you need Iron so dark green veggies and especially the red ones such as Beets and swiss chard! Also you need enzymes for digestion that is Fruit! Tomato is a fruit!
Gladys Worthing: I've been to a third world country for a missi! on and service project, and thinking of the people that I had helped wh! o didn't have enough to pay for food is what's weighing my heart down. They aren't 'leeching off of society', society pushed them away when they needed help the most.
Sherri Drakos: wheat bread toasted with a side of fruit
Sunshine Holets: yes ma'am
Reyes Brunell: That depends on what type of vegetarian you want to be - The typical American vegetarian eats dairy (milk, eggs, and cheese). Vegans, on the other hand, avoid all dairy, as well as leather, silk, honey, etc. Some vegetarians consider sea food to be acceptable, while others believe sea food is non-vegetarian...It really all depends on your point of view. So yes, you techniqly could be considered vegetarian if you eat those things......Show more
Luke Creitz: yes. . . i think so. . . at least you still eat vegetables, right?
Lourie Mcroberts: Vegans don't eat ANY kind of animal protien- including milk, eggs, etc. Vegetarians, however, don't eat anything that an animal had to die to make! . That means that on top of vegetable-type things, they do eat milk, cheese, eggs, etc. Some are more strict- my sister, for example refuses to eat things like Skittles or use mousse in her hair because those contain gelatin which is sometimes derrived from animals. I'm not so careful- I do eat things containing gelatin as well as things that have milk, eggs, etc. in them. I also eat fist, shrimp, etc. I've heard that the term for people like us is "pescatarian." It means that you're not a full vegetarian because you eat dead animals, but only ones from the sea....Show more
Ervin Overbee: no, you are considered a pescetarian. screw everyone who is pissed cause you eat fish.i'm a vegetarian saying that at least you don't support the awful factory farms.
Nestor Klan: If you eat shrimp or fish, you are not a vegitarian. If you eat milk, eggs, and cheese, then you are a vegitarain. If you don't eat milk, eggs, and cheese, then that would make you vegan.
Fann! ie Collingwood: try omega 3 tablets. or lots of fish
Elinore Schl! inker: because i am not eating rice and meat and im regularly taking my taebo exercise but i need to stimulate my brains by having healthy foods as an alternatives
Krystal Cordovano: Vegetarians do not eat cows, pigs, chickens, fish, shrimp, scallops, worms, ants or any other animal. They do consume dairy and eggs though. There have been vegan Olympic gold medalists and a vegan woman can create an ENTIRELY NEW,HEALTHY HUMAN BEING INSIDE OF HER. Many of these children stay vegan and grow up to be perfectly healthy adults. So just keep yourself educated about what you eat and don't let anyone tell you that a veg diet is lacking anything essential.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carl_Lewishttp://www.eatright.org/cps/rde/xchg/ada/hs.xsl/ad...-------------------------------------------------------------------------If you want to become a lacto-ovo vegetarian, the transition should be quite simple. Almost all meats have widely available commercial replacements. All that you hav! e to do is replace any flesh in your diet (beef, pork, poultry, seafood) with meat analogs or just leave it out altogether. You should keep in mind that a journey such as this can be quite short but should just be the beginning of a longer one to a plant-based diet with no animal products. This is because of the reality of factory farming in which animals that are kept alive to produce milk, eggs, etc suffer much more and longer than animals that are raised to a certain weight and then slaughtered.http://www.veganoutreach.org/whyvegan/http://meat.orgSome people use the word "vegan" in reference to this idea, but be aware that applying that label to yourself should always come with the inclusion of wise activism and advocacy.http://www.veganoutreach.org/advocacy/index.htmlTwo extremely important examples of this are that you should never speak to someone about vegetarianism/veganism without their consent and genuine interest or as a comment on what they are eating AND your di! etary beliefs should never be used as an introduction or explanation of! who you are as a person. Veg*ism should be something that comes up AFTER people get to know you and they offer you a situation that makes it confusing to withhold the information/discussion. Also, if you are presented something that you choose not to eat or you areordering food/eating together somewhere/picking the best place to eat. When you you hold off on the subject until it's necessary and then act like it isn't a big deal at all, people are usually surprised and WAY more interested and curious than if you were to bring it up when someone's eating or just using it as a conversation starter.A responsible vegan ALWAYS studies the subject of their own health and how to keep their body completely provided for in every sense. http://www.veganhealth.org/shTo neglect their body is to define a plant-based diet as unhealthy and is the opposite of helping the animals.Just to clear things up, the vegetarian/vegan diet is not composed of salads, vegetables, fruit and fake meat. F! ruits and vegetables are always important but they DO NOT make up the largest portion of any healthy diet.A balanced plant-based diet includes grains(breads, pasta, rice, cereal), legumes(soy, beans, peas, lentils), fruit and vegetables.http://www.pcrm.org/health/veginfo/vsk/food_groups...http://www.peta.org/accidentallyVegan/http://www.veganoutreach.org/whyvegan/eating.htmlBeing vegan can be an art, one whose challenge is to take things that involve the suffering of the innocent and change them into something free of cruelty. A vegan woman can create an ENTIRELY NEW,HEALTHY HUMAN BEING INSIDE OF HER. Many of these children stay vegan and grow up to be perfectly healthy adults. So just keep yourself educated about what you eat and don't let anyone tell you that a veg diet is lacking anything essential.Technically the term "vegetarian" does imply that you don't consume anything that comes from the body of an animal that requires killing it. Many ingredients such as gelatin an! d glycerin are found in many candies, Fig-Newtons, and many of other fo! ods as well as rennet found in many cheeses.http://www.happycow.net/health-animal-ingredients....The best thing to remember is to take your time so that for example: when you are comfortable not eating beef and pork you can then give up chicken when you are sure you can make the commitment permanently.Depending on your age or reliance on parents or regional options, it may not be best to give yourself a label. The important thing is to do your best to make progress and be committed to your compassion towards animals. Never put your focus onto what you or other people use to describe yourself. If you meet someone that talks down to people for eating meat, dairy, etc or to you because they think they are "more veg" than you, laugh in their face and tell them they are a disgrace to the entire philosophy. People like this only hurt the idea of veg*ism AND the animals. The point of all of this is to live compassionately and and as free from cruelty as you can, all the while maint! aining your health and a positive attitude. People who don't maintain either, need not open their mouths and represent our beliefs. If you actually choose to read all of this, I hope it helps. If not, feel free to e-mail me if you have questions.----------------------------------------------------------------------I'm vegan and these are some of my favorite things to eat:Breakfast: bananas, cream of wheat with brown sugar and soy butter, cereal, pancakes or french toast with real maple syrup, vegan "sausage" patties, smoothies.Snack: BRUSSEL SPROUTS =) no jokeLunch: VEGAN "SAUSAGE" SANDWICHES, sandwiches with vegan deli slices(Tofurkey is the only one that's kinda funky), fruit, dinner leftovers, couscous salad, vegan sushi, potato or pasta salad.Dinner: sloppy joes, "sausage" and gravy with homemade biscuits, Spaghetti and Trader Joe's "meatballs" or TVP, lasagna, Thai pad see ew, pad khi mao(drunkard's noodles), pad prig king, tofu+eggplant with basil sauce, yellow thai cu! rry with tofu or vegan chikn and veggies and jasmine rice, Indian dal w! ith homemade roti or dosai, channa masala, aloo gobi, vegetable or minestrone soup, pizza, STEAMED "PORK" BUNS with potstickers or spring rolls, sweet&sour/orange/lemon chikn, vegan pho or wonton soup, baked tofu, BBQ homemade seitan (tastes like meat from boiled+BBQ'd ribs)I use these sites to find recipes:http://www.foodnetwork.comhttp://vegweb.comhttp://www.recipezaar.com...Show more

Corrina Faro: I'm not pointing the finger at vegetarians or vegans, I AM a vegetarian. It's just been on my mind, and sometimes it's perceived by others to be 'picky' not to eat meat, as a child who refuses to eat his or her vegetables is viewed as being picky. I'm not pointing my finger at anyone, and I'm sorry if it seems! that I am.
Shawn Lelis: no, vegetarians do not eat seafood.
Lou Rought: Seafood is meat and so is chicken...ever heard of white meat chicken?I've been a vegetarian for a year and a half..if you cut out the seafood, then you're a lacto-ovo vegetarian.
Mark Villifana: Sorry you are eating a very healthy omnivorous diet. Those are animal products. Vegetable means vegetable, fruit, plants, roots, seeds, fungi, leaves, cellulose, legumes, flowers, petals, seaweed, stamens, and bark.I'd even go on to say anything with legs and walks or anything that comes from something with legs and walks is animal, non-vegetarian. In the Philippines people eat swallows bird nests from caves thinking its non-carnivorous. They are eating the saliva from the swallows. You are omnivorous like coyotes, raccoons, bears, rodents, and all other simians.I don't know about honey. Honey seems acceptable.Find out how vegans get their protein. It's important for your physical development..! ..Show more
Melvina Bieri: I'm not against being vegetarian or be! ing vegan, I am a vegetarian, but right now in my life I'm finding it hard to justify my choice of being 'picky' in a way when I know fully well that there are many who can't afford bread, let alone tofu. I cannot find any ethical reason for being a vegetarian. So, I'm just wondering if other vegetarians think of this, and how they make it right in their eyes?
Collin Pelfrey: in my opinion if you eat sea food its the same as eating a cow.life is life
Bettye Arre: Yes - the current evidence is that Omega-3 (fatty acids) are very beneficial to brain function. Can be taken as a supplement or naturally thought oily fish like tuna or salmon. Also, ginkgo biloba which, apart from it's free radical scavenging (anti-oxidant) properties, also improves oxygen uptake and utilization, which of course in beneficial to brain function.
