Sherrill Botting: I don't know o! f any "acting books" right off hand, but If your wanting to get into the acting field it would be best to find a acting coach. The acting world can be so confusing and misunderstood.First off you need to find a acting coach in your area and study, study, study. It's best to study with different acting coaches don't just go to one coach and think your ready to be an actress. One major thing to practices with your coaches are auditions. After you have studied acting and fully understand what is needed in a actress go audition for some Theater skits. Get your friends to go with you and record your plays. Do about 5 Theater plays, then go get some professional headshot pictures made of you and try to find a agency, when they ask for your resume list all your training and your theater plays on the resume, and make DVD of your plays and send it in with your resume. If a agency likes you and picks you up then they will find you film and TV auditions.OH yea this is MAJOR. A REAL Tal! ent Agency will NEVER ask you for money. The Coaches can be ex! pensive but they can help guide you in the right hands, and without training no Agency will even consider you. Make sure your coach is a real coach before considering them.Good luck and I hope this helped out!...Show more
