why do people believe in horoscopes?

Piedad Bassiti: Horoscopes are just for entertainment, if you want real answers, find someone who can look deep into you and see things like how you are over weight, make a vegetable soup from scratch, any meat drain off the fat be for eating, eat this as much as you want and as little of anything fattening for a couple weeks and loss Weight. that should be easy for a mid teens grade 8er chicky.

Lorine Helwick: Possibly because they feel they need a little control & stability in their "love" life & that's something they feel they can't control on their own & make it what they want it to be so they rely on a horoscope in hopes that it will turn out the way it says it will. Sad thing is they probably passed up what would have been a wonderful relationship because they based their judgment on a horoscope & it telling them that a cancer & a gemini will never work out. Bottom line, the relationships already doomed from the start because they never even gave it a chance ba! sed on what their horoscope says, pretty lame if you ask me. I don't really know of any men who are into it, I'm sure there are a few....Show more

Felicitas Phildor: I used to read the horoscopes. But I don't believe them. They are always listed under entertainment. Just like I don't believe in psychics

Lino Cawthorne: I don't believe in the horoscopes that are written in the newspapers or anything like that. But the basic astrology, the study of all 12 zodiac signs and their different personality traits; I find that stuff to be highly accurate. Something that is even more accurate is personology. It's the study of 365 birthdays and all their different personality traits. Also, personology studies your birthday in Weeks and Cusps. For example, if you are born between June 11 - June 18, you're known as being born under the 'Week of the Seeker'. I'm born between Dec 19 - Dec 25 therefore, the book will indicate that I'm born under the 'Cusp of Prophecy' since I a! m born on a cusp of two different signs. I have this personolo! gy book which provides all this really interesting accurate information. It's pretty cool....Show more

Connie Dickirson: Agreed. If it ever matches you... It's called coincidence. I doubt the stars move to match our lives, or that we were born to match they sky.

Gwenda Micheals: because like you said it's funn[= personally i don't take it seriously though like i wont search "can a leo go with a aries" or something stupid like that it just depends on the person and their personality - for me it's just a fun thing to search when i'm extremley boredd. & just because your sign is completely wrong about you doesn't mean it's like that for everyone else. i'm a leo and i'm deff like how they explain my sign - and most people are like their sign.

Rayford Latz: yea my sun is capricornmy moon is virgoand my rising is saggitarius

Lon Pennington: i hate it how some people take it so seriouslylike "can a libra date a virgo?"

Jeremy Donohue: I completely agr! ee!I'm an aries and in a recent event i was categorised as a 'boyfriend stealer' just because this one girl had an aries friend who slept with her boyfriend.Believe me, i'm the complete opposite of that! In my culture/family sex is forbidden until marriage.Though to answer your question i think believeing in horoscopes is the same as religion, its a type or 'faith'. maybe people feel more whole by just knowing that on april the 3rd they will have a great day and blah blah blah. some choose to believe it and some think its baloney....Show more

Dulcie Edis: im 10 lbs underweightwhat are you talking about?

Foster Padgette: Give people something to believe in, and without a doubt a bunch of them will find a reason to believe in it. Humans are fickle and seem to seek great fun in finding something that gives life 'reason' and 'meaning'.I think the reason why horoscopes specifically is that these are people who DO relate to the stereotype of their horoscope. I'm a Cap! ricorn, and I like you agree with very little of my horoscope, therefor! e I don't follow them. But I can't say it wouldn't be a different story if I read the description of Capricorn and related to it. I'd probably throw all my belief into horoscopes.I am human, after all. :o)...Show more
