Garrett Detone: Norton will cost and cost and cost. Antivirus protection is a necessity. Norton is in that business and is well established. If you want free antivirus, I recommend AVG free antivirus. I tried Avast free antivirus and it made my computer crawl slower than slow.I had Norton a long time ago. I got tired of paying more and more for renewals. Last time, years ago, I tried to get around the high renew! al fee by loading a new disk of Norton and my computer was immediately effed up by that and I had to go to a computer shop to get it straightened out. After a couple of hours the tech had my computer free of Norton and showed me AVG free. I never looked back. I'm no expert, but with an expert's help I like AVG better....Show more
